Responsibilities

System administration of the procurement and maintenance software:

  • Support our software team during the implementation of the procurement software in the northern fleet vessels of the group.
  • Provide training sessions of the procurement and maintenance system software to end users – ashore and on board.
  • Ensure the procurement software is utilized in a correct manner.
  • Support process definition and optimization to enhance the procurement workflows in our organization

Operational procurement including:

  • Demand-based procurement of technical equipment, components and materials for our northern European fleet.
  • Processing and monitoring of purchasing orders, invoices, contracts as well as the entire distribution processes in the relevant procurement software.
  • Contracts negotiations with suppliers and suppliers’ performance monitoring for smaller purchasing volumes when needed.
  • The person joining our team will be the point of contact for our internal customers (e.g. Vessel Crew, Superintendents, Procurement Manager) for the aforementioned main responsibilities of the role.

Qualifications

  • Successfully accomplished vocational training with a business administration and/or technical profile.
  • Purchasing is your passion, Professional experience in procurement is desirable – ideally in the maritime sector
  • Good communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong in communication, sharing your know-how and as a teamplayer you value a cooperative work environment.
  • Affinity in dealing with complex software
  • High analytical skills and technical understanding
  • Experience in working in international and matrix organizations is desirable.
