Job Title: System Engineer - Smart M2M Communication (m/w/d)

Location: Bayernwerk Netz GmbH, Dachau, Germany

Type: Fixed-term, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automate and expand the electricity and gas networks towards a smart grid of the future.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting of devices in the smart grid and smart meter environment, initiate necessary steps, and document processes in the ticketing system.
  • Support field services via phone during commissioning and troubleshooting of iONS (LTE/DSL routers) and broadband powerline devices across Germany.
  • Plan broadband powerline device deployment in low-voltage networks using geographic information systems.
  • Create documentation, maintain and monitor alarm lists.
  • Conduct system tests and oversee network documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proactive, responsible team player with high initiative and commitment.
  • Self-reliant, flexible, decisive, quick learner, goal-oriented, systematic, and analytical.
  • Future-oriented, trend-aware, digitally savvy, and committed to personal development.
  • Experience with databases, documentation, and ticket systems.
  • Knowledge in configuring routers and switches via CLI, and operating transport and IP network components.
  • Completed training as a master/technician in communications technology/informatics or a comparable qualification.
