Industrial Engineer Coating (m/f/x) with the vision to match our ambition.

Skeleton Technologies is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer - Coating (m/f/x) to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your insights will contribute directly to the success of the overall company!

Our ultimate goal with Skeleton is to build a net zero future, and our role is to make sure the world is aware of how we can help save energy, cut fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, and enable the energy transition.

In this role, you will be a key member in successfully commissioning and starting the equipment and processes in your area of responsibility—Coating—in our new Leipzig Gigafactory.

Your tasks in the net zero journey:

  1. Responsibility for the assigned part of the manufacturing line
  2. Ensure the implementation of technical specifications in the equipment
  3. Resolve and close open technical points related to the equipment
  4. Maintain and structure equipment-related documentation for future scale-up phases
  5. Lead manufacturing ramp-up by improving equipment performance and ensuring lines meet OEE goals
  6. Oversee equipment commissioning and SAT in Skeleton's factory
  7. Troubleshoot and improve process efficiency using tool management software, and implement changes
  8. Provide daily updates to the project back office and leadership regarding equipment progress
  9. Perform calculations for manufacturing output according to scale-up requirements
  10. Define product and process specifications, develop test plans, and establish acceptance criteria for Coating

Requirements

We don't expect to master everything from the start. At Skeleton, you'll have team support, and we work together to achieve our goals. However, the following requirements are essential for success in this role:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Production Engineering, or similar
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in large-scale battery industry production
  • Deep technical understanding of mixing and electrode manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of manufacturability studies
  • Experience with PFMEA processes and evaluating manufacturing equipment
  • Business acumen and project management experience are advantageous
  • Structured, focused working style
  • Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on approach
  • Independent yet team-oriented demeanor
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
