We are looking for new colleagues to join our fast-growing Simon-Kucher Engine team as Tech Lead/Lead Software Engineer!

How you will create an impact:

• Building reliable software solutions: Take technical responsibility for product lines in pricing, designing, building, and operating reliable, secure, high-performing solutions. Lead estimation, design, and implementation of new features and projects.
• Hands-On development: Contribute actively to coding in a high-output environment.
• Drive architecture and technical vision: Manage technical debt and develop long-term tech strategies and roadmaps.
• Operational excellence: Demonstrate operational excellence, drive continuous improvement, and enhance monitoring and team productivity.
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with product management and delivery teams.
• Mentorship and team development: Provide mentorship, foster knowledge sharing, establish standards, and participate in hiring and onboarding.

About you:

• Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, or related field.
• Enjoy translating business needs into digital solutions.
• Experience in a technical leadership role, designing and running highly available, multi-tenant SaaS solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Java and frameworks like Spring Boot.
• Experience with data-driven applications, including ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics; proficient in related technologies.
• Frontend skills (JavaScript/TypeScript) are a plus, Python skills are a double plus.
• Experience hosting in cloud environments and working with DevOps teams.
• Fluent in English; additional languages like German are advantageous.
