Electronics Design Engineer – Test Systems (m/f/d)

Responsibilities include:

1. Design automated electronic ground support equipment (EGSE) for testing satellite electronics.
2. Develop custom electronics test systems for performance verification of specific functions.
3. Design test fixtures for component life testing and radiation exposure evaluations.
4. Program test software in Python or C/C++ to control and automate test equipment.
5. Create comprehensive documentation including design descriptions, user manuals, and FMECA analysis reports.
6. Prepare documentation required for CE certification of test systems.
7. Specify and oversee the layout of multi-layer PCBs used within test setups.
8. Perform system-level verification and validation of test systems before deployment.
9. Collaborate closely with flight electronics design engineers to ensure system compatibility and functionality.

Your Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in electronic design for RF, precision analog, or power electronics applications.
• Familiarity with ECSS standards for space-qualified electronics.
• Understanding of spacecraft communication protocols (e.g., SpaceWire, MIL-STD-1553, SpaceFibre).
• Proficiency in a programming language for automated testing (e.g., Python or C/C++).
• Skilled in the use of ECAD and simulation tools such as Mentor PADS Professional, SPICE, and HyperLynx.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
