The Business Unit Europe Africa is one of TK Elevator's largest units, headquartered in Dusseldorf, Germany. It manages activities in over 20 countries and a distributor network in Africa, handling the sale, installation, servicing, and modernization of elevators, escalators, and moving walks. The portfolio also includes home lifts and automatic door services in select markets. In fiscal year 2022/2023, the unit employed about 14,000 people and generated around 2.4 billion euros in sales. Responsibilities

  1. Support the implementation of the Safety Transformation Program across regions.
  2. Identify and prioritize critical risks that could lead to serious injuries or fatalities.
  3. Serve as the main contact for market clusters regarding Serious Injury and Fatalities (SIF).
  4. Ensure insights from incidents are understood and applied effectively.
  5. Assess the likelihood and impact of SIF events.
  6. Develop strategies to mitigate risks through improved safety controls and training.
  7. Collaborate with regional OSH managers to ensure consistent standards.
  8. Evaluate suppliers and contractors for OSH compliance.
  9. Promote a culture of continuous safety improvement through feedback.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Safety, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in complex work environments, especially with installation projects and subcontractor management.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and risk management.
  • Proven expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Experience leading distributed teams with subcontractors.
  • Background in multinational, multicultural settings.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
