Overview

As the development center of Caterpillar Inc., we design wheel loaders and material handling machines in the weight class of 13-60t.

Einsatz / Aufgaben

The Mechatronics degree program combines classical engineering sciences such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering/electronics, and information technology, focusing on the development of innovative technical products. During the training, you will learn:

• Installation and assembly of mechatronic machines and systems
• Measuring and testing electrical quantities
• Installing and testing hardware and software components
• Building and testing electrical and hydraulic controls
• Programming, commissioning, and maintaining mechatronic systems
• Assembling electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components into machines and systems

Voraussetzungen

• General higher education entrance qualification or advanced technical college entrance qualification (focused on technology)
• Good performance especially in Math, Physics, and Computer Science, as well as good German and English skills in speaking and writing
• Strong interest in all facets of technology: mechanics, control, and electrical engineering
• Good spatial imagination and manual dexterity
• High commitment and initiative

Generelles

We offer you a comprehensive training combined with a practical-oriented degree at the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule (OTH) Regensburg. With this combined degree, you will have two qualifications after only 4.5 years: Mechatronics Technician and Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics).

Einsatzmöglichkeiten

Due to the broad training in various areas of our company, such as engine, electronics, electrical installation, hydraulics, cabin construction, steel construction, etc., extensive employment opportunities in mechanical and plant engineering are available after training and studies.
