Job Description:

In our team, you will support the Ground resource planning for the ESA Ground segment (GS) services for data distribution of telemetry, command, voice, video, and files as part of the Human Exploration Control Center (HECC) to sustain optimal support for real-time Columbus flight operations and payload operations outside the Columbus module.

Your main tasks will be:

  1. ESA GS resource planning and scheduling based on user requests and external scheduling inputs, producing a conflict-free schedule of activities.
  2. Communicating activities impacting ESA GS resource and service availability to external teams and scheduling entities.
  3. Managing ESA GS access requests, including role management and support to external entities.
  4. Managing GSA voice system users and loops.
  5. Coordinating GCT and SSE on-call support.
  6. Managing GOP software tools engineering, including requirements, testing, and documentation.
  7. Managing GOP processes and procedures.

What do we need in our team?

We are looking for graduates in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields with a background and interest in Ground Resource Planning.

  2. Familiarity with IT, Internet, and Intranet usage.
  3. Fluency in written and spoken English.
  4. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  5. Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities with various levels of management and facility users.

Previous experience and knowledge in spaceflight or a similar operations control environment are valued. Knowledge of German is highly desirable.
