As a Senior Finance manager - Accounting & reporting at Rolls-Royce, you will primarily be responsible for monitoring the balance sheet accounts of RRD, gathering information from various stakeholders within the company and the RR Group, analyzing and reporting balance sheet and income movements, and being the main point of contact for external auditors. Additionally, you will advise the business on the financial implications of business transactions and legal changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of interim and annual financial statements - HGB & IFRS, including extended balance sheets, legal adjustments, and annex disclosures.
  • Implementation of new accounting standards as needed and monitoring compliance with existing standards and RR Group accounting policies.
  • Support external annual audits by providing audit evidence, explanations, and analyses in collaboration with the RR Group, sectors, and Finance Service Centers.
  • Control compliance with accounting and process guidelines and the Internal Control Framework, conducting balance sheet reviews and ensuring the integrity of master data and systems (SAP & Oracle HFM).
  • Participation in improvement activities as a subject matter expert in collaboration with RR Group teams and local finance departments.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced and qualified accounting professionals/auditors (e.g., CA, CMA, CIMA, Master's in Business Administration/Economics) with solid knowledge of IFRS & HGB.
  • High competence in financial accounting, financial data analysis, reporting, and modeling techniques.
  • Good business awareness, ideally with previous experience in large, internationally operating companies.

Personality and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to optimize processes and workflows and a passion for continuous learning and growth.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Able to adapt quickly to changes and work independently.
  • Experience collaborating with and presenting to executives and finance directors.
