Job Description: Business Development Manager (US Market) at ControlExpert

At ControlExpert, a company of the solvd Group based in Munich, you will be at the forefront of innovation in automotive claims management. Since 2002, we have processed over 18 million vehicle claims annually with more than 1,000 employees worldwide. Our mission is to automate the settlement process by integrating advanced digital and AI-support tools to create a leading global platform for insurers, providing a seamless customer experience.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the US market. This role involves close collaboration with senior management in the US and our headquarters in Langenfeld, focusing on operational and strategic initiatives, market analysis, and partnership development.

Location

Langenfeld, with a longer on-site assignment in the US.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate: Work closely with US senior management and headquarters on operational and strategic initiatives.
  2. Contribute: Support M&A activities and post-merger integration, including efficiency analysis and process alignment.
  3. Analyze: Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies for growth opportunities.
  4. Develop: Drive business development efforts, build partnerships, and explore expansion opportunities in the US.
  5. Transfer: Facilitate the introduction of innovative products and services into the US market.
  6. Present: Prepare business cases, presentations, and reports for stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in Business Development, preferably with international M&A and post-merger integration.
  • Strategic thinker with a self-driven, structured approach, strong analytical skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Prior experience or understanding of the US market and its business culture is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (C1+); German skills are advantageous.
