The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend & ML, you’ll join a high-impact team to build and scale infrastructure powering our AI systems. From serverless ML pipelines to scalable video processing backends, your work will enable automation and insights for creative and marketing teams.

You will develop, deploy, and scale ML models, taking ownership over significant parts of our product’s design and development, and pioneering new interactions in the video and image space. You are the right fit if you’re passionate about creating value and solving problems end-to-end with strong product sense and design awareness. You’ll collaborate with global talent to build scalable, modular workflows and reliable AI models with user experience in mind.

What you bring

• 6+ years in software engineering or relevant field; 3+ years with a PhD
• 3+ years in video processing pipelines, computer vision, or media-related ML/AI
• Experience building backend systems with TypeScript / Node.js and AWS (especially serverless)
• Experience deploying or scaling ML models from inception to impact
• Comfort with cloud environments, especially AWS Lambda, S3, and event-driven systems
• Ownership of components, features, or systems
• Pragmatic decision-making supporting fast iteration and scaling
• Experience managing large, ambiguous projects
• Thrives in cross-functional, fast-paced teams

• Architect for scale: Define backend architecture and APIs for AI capabilities and high-volume workloads
• Work closely with product & customers: Translate needs into backend systems
• Integrate ML into production: Design and deploy serverless pipelines for video, speech, and vision
• Build core backend systems: Develop scalable services with Node.js, TypeScript, AWS Lambda
• Own data & performance: Ensure reliable processing and delivery of video data
• Shape product direction: Your work will define user experience
