Job Opportunity: Security Engineer (f / m / d)

Our European Headquarters in Frankfurt am Main (Offenbach) is seeking an IT professional for the position of Security Engineer (f / m / d).

As a Security Engineer, you will be part of the Security Technology Section, responsible for managing and improving security solutions in our data center. Your role will include conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to ensure the security infrastructure's robustness. You will also contribute to maintaining ISO 27001 certification, demonstrating our commitment to high information security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage security solutions and perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, focusing on Hyundai & KIA and partner web properties to identify and mitigate threats.
• Analyze security event patterns using advanced tools to improve security posture.
• Monitor security alerts, assess incidents, and escalate issues as needed.
• Support security log collection and management using SOC tools, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
• Investigate security log anomalies to detect threats and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain SOC tools to ensure optimal performance and threat detection.
• Patching, updating, and upgrading security systems within the data center.
• Handle security tickets promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments of HKMC digital properties, prioritizing risks.
• Prepare detailed assessment reports in English, clearly communicating findings to IT and Project Managers.
• Collaborate with teams to mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring system security and resilience.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• 1-3 years of professional experience as a security engineer, pentester, or application security engineer.
• Proactive security mindset, with the ability to think like an attacker and a defender.
• Knowledge of GDPR regulations and data protection implications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent team player with good social skills.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
