Overview

The main role within this function is to promote consistency and excellence in Visual Merchandise standards across Europe. Key areas include coordinating and supporting new store openings, and developing training programs to ensure VM standards are maintained. The VM Manager is responsible for the ongoing training and development of Regional Visual Merchandise Coordinators.

Responsibilities

VM Standards & Store Layout

Managing the VM Coordinators Field, the Visual Merchandise Manager is responsible for identifying and implementing new VM opportunities throughout Europe, from visual presentation to store layout to drive sales, and acting as a commercial business partner with RVPs & DMs.

VM Clinics

Promoting consistency and excellence in VM standards. Working closely with VM Coordinators, the VM Manager ensures training needs are identified, and VM training is scheduled and executed. The VM Manager also develops in-store training initiatives, such as the VM Passbook.

New Store Openings and Remodels

The VM Manager coordinates the New Store Opening program, ensuring VM displays (liaising with VM Coordinator EHQ) and fixtures (liaising with Real Estate) are delivered on time, with on-site support prior to opening. This includes developing the ‘pre-retailing’ initiative.

Communication

The VM Manager, working with VM Coordinators, implements a regional communication structure to improve VM communication to Field Teams.

Special Projects/Tasks

Additional projects and tasks may be assigned as needed by the Visual Merchandise Director or VP Marketing.

Qualifications

  • University education preferably in design or marketing
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience
  • Strong analytical skills combined with operational attitude
  • Proficient in MS Office and email systems
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of other European languages is desirable
  • Pro-active, well-organized, flexible, customer-oriented
