Head of Engineering

TRS Staffing is hiring for the role of Engineering Head for one of the world's largest Oil & Gas companies, which has ventured into bioenergy. The role is remote and is critical for building and expanding the company's 55 bioenergy plants.

About the Role

The Engineering Head will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary project engineering teams and ensuring the successful design and execution of bioenergy projects.

Responsibilities

1. Lead multidisciplinary project engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, civil, instrumentation) for the design and execution of over 1000 greenfield Compressed Biogas production units.
2. Develop and standardize modular plant designs optimized for scalability, local conditions, and rapid deployment.
3. Oversee the preparation and review of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Evaluate and approve vendor designs and EPC partners' submissions to ensure technical robustness and cost-effectiveness.
5. Establish design protocols that ensure safety, maintainability, operability, and compliance with Indian and international codes.
6. Provide leadership in troubleshooting design-related issues during commissioning and early operations.
7. Facilitate knowledge transfer to junior engineers and site teams; create engineering playbooks and design templates for replication.
8. Interface with regulatory bodies, certifying agencies, and consultants for project approvals and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, preferably in bioenergy, process industries, or large infrastructure rollouts.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of anaerobic digestion, gas processing, and composting systems.
• Proven track record in managing large EPC projects with interdisciplinary coordination.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in bioenergy and process industries.
