Your Role

As Master Data Governance (MDG) Owner (m/f/d) you will play a pivotal role in steering the priorities and implementation of the Global initiative within Procurement. It is especially important to coordinate the priorities across various independent procurement organization at Symrise today such as Scent & Care, Taste, Nutrition & Health, Pet food etc. including crucial information related to sustainability and supplier information.

  • You develop together with procurement a roadmap to expand and improve master data management in the organization.
  • You analyse and integrate data across diverse ERP/Non-ERP organizations - including those currently not integration/not on SAP.
  • You align the roadmap and develop project demands, coordinate their planification with the global MDO network and drive their approval.
  • You coordinate execution projects, either as project manager or sponsor - steering committee, and specifically leads the internal organizational change management.
  • You formalize master data ownership in the organization to smoothen decision making.
  • You map the master data processes and responsibilities in the organization and identify key users.
  • You maintain and develop this network's skills, guidelines, knowledge or change management.
  • You involve the network in master data deployment.
  • You represent Procurement in various MDG governance and steering committee meetings.

Your Profile

  • You successfully completed your University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • You have 7 years of experience in data governance, procurement, IT, consulting, or a related field, preferably within a complex, multi-division organization.
  • You have strong knowledge of master data management principles, data governance frameworks, and data quality management.
  • You are familiar with sustainability metrics and procurement data management.
  • You have demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • You have exceptional communication and project management skills.
  • You are proficient with data governance tools and software such as SAP, Informatica, production, logistics, etc.
