We are looking for a hands-on Mobile Engineering Manager that will work with global cross-functional teams to develop and support our merchant-facing iOS application. We strive for end-to-end ownership in our teams, and you will work alongside engineering and product teams, enabling their success. You’ll support our engineers to reach their full potential, mastering current skills and developing new competencies for personal growth.

What you will do:

• Lead and mentor a chapter of talented iOS engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Drive the development and maintenance of SumUp's iOS Bank application, ensuring scalability, security, and an exceptional user experience.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and backend engineering to define and execute the product roadmap.
• Oversee the technical direction, architecture, and best practices for iOS development within Global Bank.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet business objectives.
• Continuously improve development processes and methodologies, advocating automation, testing, and code quality.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to keep SumUp at the forefront of mobile payments innovation.

You will be great for this role if you have:

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role within an iOS development team.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, with a deep understanding of the iOS ecosystem and frameworks.
• Success in delivering complex, high-quality iOS applications to market.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making ability.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration.
• Passion for staying up-to-date with iOS advancements and continuous learning.
