Direct Category Manager - Schleswig-Holstein

BioTalent is partnered with a global pharmaceutical company to support the hire of a (Senior) Direct Category Manager, specialising in strategic procurement across packaging and contract manufacturing.

This role will offer you:

• Ownership of global category strategies in a growing pharma business
• Influence over strategic sourcing and supplier management
• Cross-functional collaboration on international supply chain projects
• A key role in building a centralised procurement function
• International travel opportunities (approx. 15–20%)

You will be responsible for:

• Lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for primary packaging and contract manufacturing
• Develop and implement global category strategies, including contract negotiation and risk management
• Drive cost optimisation and support the centralisation of procurement operations across the organisation

Requirements:

• Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in international procurement, ideally in pharma
• Strategic and operational purchasing experience
• Strong communicator with excellent negotiation skills
• Fluent in German and English; willing to travel internationally
