.img – itai’s machine GmbH is the digital unit of the „Berliner Verlag“ publishing group. With our „journalistic operating system“ (.jOS), we provide a cloud-native publishing platform serving millions by connecting to headless CMSs, processing and enriching content, and distributing via web and apps. This helps regional newspapers meet digital age challenges: increasing reach, engagement, and monetization, and integrating analytics and AI services. Besides „Berliner Verlag“ publications, we collaborate with other media companies.

Tasks

• You shape the ongoing development of our digital products (mobile/web) and platform, focusing on features, integrations, and user experience.
• You take end-to-end responsibility for the lifecycle of our digital services, including analysis of technical documentation and APIs.
• You manage partner integrations and steer our development team.
• You formulate requirements in epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, prioritize and detail the backlog with the product team, and handle conceptualization, testing, and release coordination (using Jira, Confluence, GitLab).
• You work in an agile environment, acting as an interface between business and technology stakeholders, evaluating ideas and business impacts for successful design and implementation.

Requirements

• You have a degree in (business) information systems, computer science, natural sciences, or relevant practical experience.
• You demonstrate an independent, solution-oriented, and structured working style with experience in project management and agile methods.
• You possess strong communication skills, easily aligning stakeholder expectations from senior management to development teams.
• You are a team player, hands-on, and take a holistic perspective.
• You are fluent in German and English.
