Als Elektroniker/in im Rechenszentrum überwachst und betreibst du den Betrieb und die Wartung der elektrischen und mechanischen Infrastruktur für Rechenzentren (DC) in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud-Regionen. Neben dem technischen Betrieb und der Wartung sorgst du für die Überwachung des Betriebs der Einrichtung und die Umsetzung der Sicherheitsverfahren.

The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) is responsible for delivering best practice systems and resolving problems related to all data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure (UPS, MV electrical systems, generators, cooling systems, etc.) within a specific location. The role requires a highly motivated, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to complex technical problems. This position involves frequent site interventions, critical switching activities, troubleshooting, and infrastructure repairs. It suits someone who enjoys hands-on work with Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) infrastructure such as diesel generators, switchgear, UPS systems, PDU’s, AHUs, fire detection systems, and building automation systems. You will report to the Data Center Engineering Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring safety standards and promoting a safety culture.
- Improving infrastructure through standardization and performance metrics.
- Ensuring 100% uptime for customer infrastructure.
- Collaborating with stakeholders for operational excellence.
- Planning and executing preventive maintenance.
- Monitoring and supervising facilities.
- Supporting build-out and retrofit projects.
- Responding effectively to infrastructure issues.
- Reviewing incident reports and maintaining technical documentation.

Physical requirements include working on a 24x7 schedule, at heights, and in noisy environments with protective gear.
