Dual study programme 2026: Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (B.Sc)

3-year dual study programme in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence starting on 1 September 2026 at our Waldkirch site in cooperation with the Lörrach Cooperative State University.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Diverse insights and collaboration in various departments, including IT, Product Management, and Development
• Field of activity in an interface function in the company with a view to handling, transforming, and analysing data to drive digital transformation from a technical perspective
• Assignments in areas such as business intelligence, information systems, data management, and big data analyses and architectures
• Work includes determining software requirements, developing deployment and architecture concepts, and supporting information systems, including installation, maintenance, customization, and support of standard software
• Training in tools like MS Office, SAP, object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, C++), scripting languages (e.g., Python, Lua), and basics of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Programme content: Artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, big data, data management, data mash, master data, natural language processing, project management, business process management, marketing, digital thinking
• Specializations in Artificial Intelligence and Intelligence Engineering or Data Engineering and Analytics, with additional elective modules planned

WHAT YOU NEED:

• A-levels, subject-restricted university entrance qualification, university of applied sciences entrance qualification (plus passing the delta exam at DHBW), or comparable training
• Strong interest in computer science, maths, and business management topics
• Previous knowledge of computer science and business is advantageous
• Understanding of processes and analytical skills
• Enjoyment in data preparation and analysis, and interdisciplinary topics
• Customer-oriented approach
• Strong teamwork skills
• Good command of English and openness to an international environment
• Good knowledge of German (C1 level); please refer to admission requirements of the dual university
