Information Systems Engineer mfd

The Red Hat IT Experience (ITX) team is seeking a Workplace Technology Delivery Engineer to join our EMEA region. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic global team responsible for delivering and managing audiovisual (AV) and IT infrastructure across our offices throughout EMEA. Your primary duties include installing IT and AV systems and resolving related issues from start to finish. This encompasses infrastructure such as office-based IT communication rooms, physical network cabling, AV infrastructure including displays, video conferencing units, smart room controls, Video over IP, and printing devices. Some travel will be required as Red Hat continues to expand and upgrade its real estate portfolio.

What you will do :

1. Proactively monitor the maintenance of all IT-related systems.
2. Coordinate troubleshooting for frontline issues in communication rooms and with AV equipment.
3. Manage platforms including video conferencing, digital signage, and print infrastructure.
4. Communicate with stakeholders regarding problem resolution.
5. Serve as a technical contact for office projects such as new office setups, moves, expansions, refits, and integrations of acquisitions.
6. Interpret customer needs to develop comprehensive AV solutions.
7. Procure hardware for office IT build-outs, moves, and ongoing infrastructure maintenance.
8. Contribute to new office build standards and manage vendor relationships.

What you will bring :

• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Experience supporting IT hardware and interacting with customers and executives.
• Understanding of AV infrastructure and control systems such as Crestron, Kramer, and Extron.
• Experience with IT communications room architecture, IP networks, switching, routing, cabling, AV infrastructure, and printing tools.
• Background in multi-platform environments including Mac and Windows.
• Experience working with external vendors on projects.
• Knowledge of UC platforms like Google Meet, Cisco WebEx, Zoom, Slack.
• Proactive and driven approach to work.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.

Nice to have :

• Experience with signal extension technologies such as HDBaseT, AV over IP, Dante.
• Knowledge of AV/IT monitoring software.
• Experience configuring audio DSP equipment.
• Familiarity with Python scripting and automation.
