For our new office in Munich, we are seeking an Application Engineer to support our customers throughout the entire DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) with the technical implementation of our lighting and vision systems.

Your Responsibilities?

Configuration:

  • Advise on suitable LED lighting systems for customers and external (system) integrators, ensuring efficient integration into production or inspection setups.

First-Line & Technical Support:

  • Efficiently register, handle, and resolve technical questions or problems from customers.
  • Escalate issues that fall outside the standard scope in a timely manner.
  • Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting and technical advice (no direct maintenance or installation tasks involved).

Professional Communication & Progress Monitoring:

  • Create clear reports and thoroughly follow up on tests for customers.
  • Inform customers proactively about the status and progress of their requests to ensure top-level service.

Training & Knowledge Transfer:

  • Conduct training sessions (for operators, maintenance staff) and share expertise via webcasts or in-person workshops.
  • Prepare technical documentation to guide customers and colleagues.

Document & Database Management:

  • Maintain an up-to-date application database, ensuring structured storage of all relevant information.
  • Record issues and solutions systematically (e.g., technical reports, loaned equipment).
  • Work closely with the sales department and other internal teams to align on new applications and business opportunities.
  • Provide timely feedback to R&D by gathering field insights and supporting ongoing product development.

Travel:

  • Conduct regular customer visits in the DACH region.
  • Be open to occasional international travel (e.g., training in Japan).

Your Profile

Must-have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Electromechanics, , Automation) - Machine Vison
  • Languages: Native-level German and fluent English proficiency.
  • Flexibility: High willingness to travel frequently within the DACH region.
  • Digital Skills: Solid experience with Office 365.
  • Personality: Strong communicator, customer-focused, and eager to learn.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience: Previous experience in machine vision, automation technology, or industrial lighting is beneficial, but intensive training will be provided, and eagerness to learn is essential.
  • Working Style: Structured, hands-on, reliable, independent yet collaborative.
