With its Corporate and Leveraged Finance (CLF) business line, Crédit Agricole CIB is a leading international debt provider and ranks among the top players in the EMEA syndicated loan and bond league tables. Present in Europe, the USA, and Asia, CLF is responsible for originating, structuring, and arranging debt financings for the bank’s corporate and private equity clients. It also advises clients on strategic financing matters, including capital structure optimization and rating advisory.
For our German Corporate and Leveraged Finance department, we are looking for an
Analyst - Corporate and Leveraged Finance (f/m/d)

Your mission

Originate and execute new syndicated loans (event-driven financings and credit facilities) mainly for corporate clients and PE clients within the German CLF team.

• As a member of the team, you will be involved in the following areas

  • • Preparation and production of pitch books for corporate and PE clients in liaison with other business lines (DCM, ECM, GIB, and Distribution & Origination teams)
  • • Financial modelling, including cash flow analysis & financial projections
  • • Due diligence, primary risk assessment, analysis of transactions, preparation of credit applications, analysis of returns using internal profitability tools
  • • Execution of financing transactions (due diligence, structuring, negotiations, term sheets, legal documentation, support to syndication/sales team for distribution, liaising with back and middle office for closings, etc.)
  • • Analyze companies’ business models, capital structures, financial policies, and benchmark within industry/peer groups
  • • Fully integrate into the team to develop technical and soft skills and gain autonomy.

Your profile

  • Graduate degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, or related field
  • Up to 2 years of experience in an Acquisition, Leveraged, or Corporate Financing department of a corporate and investment bank or relevant advisory firm
  • Strong analytical skills and practical financial modelling experience, basic credit and rating knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple transactions with tight deadlines
  • Excellent language skills in German and English; additional languages are a plus
  • Team-oriented, motivated, eager to progress

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or related field
  • Up to 2 years of experience in relevant finance or advisory roles
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, basic credit and rating knowledge
  • Ability to handle multiple transactions under pressure
  • Team-oriented, motivated, eager to learn
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent German and English skills; additional languages are a plus
