Your Role

As a Senior Rust Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving innovation across the product stack, enhancing core technologies, and contributing to open-source initiatives. You'll work with a modern tech stack, collaborate closely with a dedicated engineering team, and engage with the broader developer community.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new features, ensuring a scalable and robust architecture using Rust, Python, and TypeScript.
• Enhance and extend the functionality of open-source tools, improving performance and usability.
• Work with web technologies to build dynamic and user-friendly interfaces.
• Develop integrations with various databases (relational, document, and graph-based) for scalable solutions.
• Contribute to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud integrations (AWS preferred).
• Build developer-friendly tools, such as real-time documentation previews and intuitive interfaces for traceability management.
• Collaborate with the open-source community to drive innovation and adoption of the technology.
• Languages: Rust, Python, TypeScript
• Tools: VS Code (Extension Development), Docker
• Frameworks & Libraries: Sphinx, VS Code Extension API, Python & Rust ecosystems, Cypher
• Databases: Relational (PostgreSQL, SQLite), Graph (Neo4j)
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, SST, Docker

Who You Are

• Open-Source Enthusiast: Experience as a maintainer, core contributor, or active collaborator in open-source projects.
• Technical Expert: Strong background in Rust, Python, and TypeScript with a focus on scalable software development.
• Documentation Advocate: Familiarity with Sphinx and docs-as-code workflows, or a keen interest in learning.
• DevOps Mindset: Skilled in CI/CD pipelines and automation of developer workflows.
• Cloud Experience: Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and deploying scalable applications.
• Collaborative & Detail-Oriented: Enjoys working in a team and building maintainable, high-quality software.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with multi-project documentation systems using Sphinx.
• Knowledge of advanced database concepts, including graph databases.
• Background in safety-critical industries such as automotive or aerospace.
