Join us and contribute to our future in the automotive industry by taking on the role of Product Development Manager Electric Vehicle Drive Train (m/f/diverse) in the stand-alone business area Original Equipment Solutions.
The goal of product platform development is to lay the foundation for innovation in the business area OESL, aiming to be a leader in highly developed and intelligent automotive products, providing the best solutions for our customers across markets. As the owner of the electric vehicle (EV) drive train product platform, you will lead related activities and drive the following goals:
- Execute product technology strategy and technical product management based on the overall R&D strategy for the global BA OESL product landscape.
- Create and maintain a customer-centric technological or product development concept, transfer it into innovation or R&D projects, coordinate the development team to ensure project success, and design concepts.
- Develop technical understanding and product requirements related to the product platform, build up EV drive train knowledge, and transfer this knowhow to support new technology and business development.
- Interface with related functions, suppliers, and partners.
- Collaborate on the development of related materials, test methods, devices, technology, processes, virtual validation methods, and design concepts for customers.
- Coordinate the transfer of new developments to the business team, including application engineering and sales (training, tech talks, etc.).
Qualifications
- Academic degree in mechanical, industrial, automotive engineering, chemistry, materials science, polymer science, etc.
- Many years of experience in engineering/development within the automotive industry, particularly in rubber material, product, or process development.
- In-depth knowledge of EV drive trains.
- Business-fluent English and fluent German skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience working with international teams.
- Strong presenting skills.
- Willingness to travel (approx. 20-30%).
