Are you a hands-on Financial Controller with a natural drive to coordinate and assist in executing the financial processes of The Storytelling Company? You will be working for our German office in Munich and will be in close contact with the TSC group finance team located in the Netherlands.
As a Financial Controller, you will:
- Manage (strategically and operationally) TSC's German Operating Company(s) financial processes.
- Steer the German Operating Company(s) administration, including financial planning of existing financial resources.
- Implement validation processes to catch omissions (e.g., revenue leakage) in downstream processes and systems.
- Manage and control monthly financial reporting to TSC CFO and TSC Director of Reporting & Accounting.
- Perform budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Optimize bookkeeping by automating repetitive tasks and source data delivery.
- Be the single point of contact for the TSC Director of Reporting & Accounting for all intercompany settlement matters.
Your profile
- The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a flair for numbers.
- Significant years of experience in financial controlling (minimum 5 years).
- At least a bachelor's degree (HBO) in accounting or equivalent.
- Proficiency in accounting software, in particular DATEV; experience with TROI is a plus.
- Experience in private equity-owned businesses is a plus.
- You have experience working in an international company and are fluent in both German and English.
- Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals like revenue recognition and accruals.
- A team player with strong social skills and experience managing finance capacity under high demand.
- Exceptional organizational and coordination abilities.
- You are adept at switching between tasks and aligning with multiple stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and departments.
- The ability and permit to work in Germany and work from our Munich office at least 1 day a week.
