System Administrator

In order to strengthen our team at Vion IM&T GmbH in Boxtel, Hannover, München, we are currently looking for a

System Administrator (m / f / d)

Who we are

Vion is an international producer of meat, meat products, and plant-based alternatives with production sites in the Netherlands and Germany. Vion has sales support offices in sixteen countries worldwide. We supply fresh and frozen pork and beef products, plant-based alternatives, and by-products to the retail, foodservice, and meat processing industries.

We serve customers in our core markets of the Netherlands and Germany, as well as internationally. Our head office is located in Boxtel, the Netherlands.

What you can expect

We offer a versatile role within a leading international food company, providing you with the opportunity to excel. Your main responsibility will be managing a merchandise management system (Viper), used by over 1000 users across more than 12 locations in Germany.

Additional focus areas include office business processes (purchasing, sales, livestock business) and MES (Manufacturing Execution System), emphasizing the connection of technical devices (scales, scanners, classification devices, PLCs) and designing user interfaces.

System Responsibility Details

• Printing
• Samba Fileshares
• Shell Scripting (a core part of the application)

Oracle

• Database Administration
• Data Guard
• Apex
• Application Server (Weblogic / Forms / Reports)

Other tasks

• Participating in projects involving architectural specifications and programming services
• Documentation
• Coordination with installation teams
• Installation during day/evenings/Sundays on ACC and Production, with rollback if needed
• Supporting program development related to deployment

Your Profile

• Technical college or university degree in IT
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service and 'can-do' attitude
• Experience working in multicultural environments
• Proficiency in German (mandatory) and English (desired) written and spoken skills
