Procurement Manager (m/f/d)

Our international and agile team seeks a motivated Procurement Manager (f/m/d). This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in the demanding new space industry, supporting rapid development cycles for technically challenging space commodities. You will work in an agile, dynamic, and international environment focused on high-performance solutions with minimized production costs.

Your Tasks

1. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Project, and Launch teams on complex technical projects; lead procurement and sourcing discussions emphasizing cost, quality, and delivery.
2. Execute bid comparisons, drive supplier selection and decision-making; review offers, negotiate prices and contracts aligning with procurement strategy and policies.
3. Develop and maintain your supplier portfolio; proactively manage internal and external communications to foster positive, collaborative relationships.
4. Work directly with Engineers to manage requests for quotations and purchase orders supporting R&D activities.
5. Maintain accurate procurement records in the ERP system, ensuring transparency across business functions.
6. Review supplier deliverables and invoices; coordinate with Finance to close procure-to-pay processes.
7. Coordinate stakeholders to ensure cost, delivery, and quality targets are met for your supplier portfolio.
8. Contribute to building a high-volume, high-performance, and reliable supply chain while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Your Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of procurement experience or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in business/economics.
• Fluency in German is essential.
• Experience in purchasing technically demanding components.
• Proven negotiation skills for pricing and contracts with diverse suppliers.
• Confidence in managing the order process.
• Strong business acumen and strategic understanding.
• Proactive, effective team worker.
• Enthusiasm for technology and the space industry.
• Business-fluent English (written and spoken).
