What you will enjoy doing
- You actively monitor and continuously improve our Internal Control System (ICS) for all finance-relevant processes.
- Furthermore, you are responsible for the Active Risk Management of Linde Engineering in alignment with respective stakeholders.
- As the global SOX-coordinator of Linde Engineering, you are responsible for SOX-relevant tasks, working closely with the global Linde Plc SOX PMO. This involves planning and coordinating the audit process, reviewing control & testing documentation, and analyzing & remediating control deficiencies.
- You support in coordinating financial closing processes and preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing statements of Linde Engineering, collaborating with our global Finance community and aggregating data of our reporting entities to a consolidated level.
- Preparing analyses for reporting-relevant topics by leveraging our system landscape (SAP Group Reporting) is a key part of your tasks.
- Analyzing and reporting monthly fluctuations of key balance sheet items on Linde Engineering level is one of your main tasks.
- You support general and specific accounting topics according to local and international standards (mainly US GAAP).
- Stakeholder management plays a crucial role; you work closely with respective Corporate Linde Plc departments, Engineering headquarter functions, and commercial disciplines across the globe.
What makes you great
- You own a bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, business informatics, finance, or accounting, with 3-5 years’ experience in an audit, consulting firm, or a controlling/accounting/finance department of an international company.
- You are familiar with SOX and ICS requirements, with very good knowledge of SAP applications, including financial consolidation with SAP Group Reporting/Hyperion, being advantageous.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) is mandatory; knowledge of German and experience in project management are advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills, entrepreneurial thinking, and familiarity with MS Office applications, especially MS Excel (Power Query/Pivot is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, intercultural awareness, enabling smooth interaction with senior executives.
- You enjoy teamwork, sharing information and resources, and achieving group goals.
