IT-Security Engineer m/w/d

Main activities and responsibilities

• Security Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption solutions.
• IT-Infrastructure: Support IT-Infrastructure and Security topics as part of the Global IT-Infrastructure team, including networking, servers, and client devices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, management, and external partners to ensure a cohesive approach to security across all sites.
• Incident Response: Lead the technical response to security incidents, including investigation, forensic analysis, mitigation, and reporting.
• Training: Provide security training to IT colleagues on security best practices and systems.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of security procedures and incidents according to the company security guidelines.

Your Profile

• Education: University degree or relevant IT-Security certifications.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years focused on IT-Security.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and vulnerability assessment tools. Good knowledge of IT-Infrastructure is desirable, including networking, and On-Prem and Cloud solutions.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or manufacturing industries and familiarity with GxP regulations.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.
• Travel: Willingness to travel to support sites in Europe and the USA as needed.
