Job Description

As a PHP Developer, you will play a key role in the development process for a mid-sized Berlin-based company specializing in property and estate management for over 10 years. You will work on a product used daily by property managers across Germany to manage hundreds of thousands of property units (flats). Collaboration with designers, product managers, and fellow developers is essential to build robust, scalable, and secure systems that meet client needs.

What you'll do

1. Develop and maintain back-end components of web applications using PHP.
2. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
3. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
4. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
5. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
6. Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
7. Work with product managers to define project requirements and technical solutions.
8. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies.

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a PHP Developer (3+ years preferred).
2. Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
3. Knowledge of database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
4. Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
5. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication skills in English and German.
