Responsibilities

• Administer Debian Linux server systems and operate highly available, distributed systems.
• Customize complex high-availability solutions, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
• Manage Kubernetes, monitor servers and services.
• Automate system administration tasks and deployments using Ansible, GitLab pipelines, and Kubernetes.
• Support services for large clients, manage databases (primarily MySQL), and utilize automation and CI/CD pipelines to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedules, including nights and weekends, to ensure high availability and resolve issues within SLAs.

Qualifications

• Over 4 years of experience with Linux systems, mainly Debian.
• Experience managing infrastructure in data centers.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing web servers like nginx and Apache.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM, Proxmox, VMware; MySQL management, preferably with Percona Cluster.
• Knowledge of load balancing technologies (haproxy, proxySQL) and high-availability solutions (pacemaker, heartbeat, keepalived).
• Familiarity with DNS management using PowerDNS, scripting skills (Bash, Python, Perl) for automation and troubleshooting.

Nice to Have

• Experience with firewall and VPN solutions like OpenVPN, PFSense.
• Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios.
• Backup solutions experience.
• Networking knowledge including routing, VLANs, BGP.
