You support our team as R&D Chemist – Metal Pre-Treatment (f/m/d)

Responsibilities:

  • Drive R&D projects in the field of metal pre-treatment (MPT), from concept to series production.
  • Plan and perform lab-scale experiments including documentation of test results.
  • Analyze treated surfaces using physical and chemical measurement methods.
  • Support the transfer of lab results to pilot and production scale.
  • Evaluate and optimize materials and process parameters continuously.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in chemistry, preferably with a focus on organic or inorganic chemistry, or a comparable qualification.
  • 2–5 years of relevant industry experience in surface treatment or R&D preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented approach.
  • Enthusiasm for hands-on experimental work, strong attention to detail, and confidence in communicating and collaborating with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
  • Good spoken and written English; German skills are a plus.
