Our customers include leading public cloud and silicon providers, as well as industry leaders across sectors. The company is founder-led, profitable, and growing.

We are hiring a Junior UX Designer for our Design Team. This role reports to a UX design manager and is based remotely in the EMEA region.

The role entails

  1. Working with the open source community and Canonical customers to research new features and improvements.

  3. Engaging with the design team to align efforts with product strategy and best practices.
  4. Evolving and evangelizing design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  5. Understanding the broader scope of your work and its interconnected constraints.
  6. Supporting working groups to enable Canonical design’s horizontal efforts.

What we are looking for in you

  1. An exceptional academic record from high school and university.
  2. A Bachelor's or equivalent in User Experience, Design, STEM, or a compelling alternative narrative.
  3. Knowledge and passion for user experience, technology, and design.
  4. A commitment to continuous learning, curiosity, flexibility, and a scientific approach.
  5. Result-oriented with a drive to complete work and celebrate success.
  6. Confidence in user research practices.
  7. Engagement with the latest design research and innovation.
  8. The ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.

UX designers should be excellent communicators, comfortable working with engineers, designers, and executives. They must present their design positions clearly and be confident in tackling complex design challenges, aligning their leadership with the company's strategic vision.
