Associate Director Income Tax Germany (m / f / d)

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the Income Tax Team Germany (3-4 Certified Tax Advisors)
• Prepare tax returns and other filings, review tax assessments
• Provide tax advisory to German businesses (support in business projects, tax and accounting questions, domestic restructurings)
• Support German income tax audits
• Prepare monthly tax reporting for US GAAP group reporting, Year End tax reporting for statutory accounts, and quarterly tax cash forecasts
• Support the tax planning team on tax accounting impacts of projects

Qualifications and Skills

• University degree in Taxes, Finance, Accounting, or Economics; qualification as German tax advisor (Steuerberater)
• Relevant professional experience in a tax department of a public accounting firm or multinational company, with strong knowledge in direct tax
• Excellent knowledge of US GAAP Tax Accounting and German GAAP (HGB)
• Ability to understand the impact of tax on business transactions and think strategically
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to present complex topics to management
• Fluency in English and German
