Position Overview
Are you a seasoned professional passionate about guiding strategic initiatives and managing large-scale Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects? Boehringer Ingelheim seeks a proactive and innovative individual to serve as the Global Head of CapEx Construction Management, based in Ingelheim or Biberach. This role involves guiding Construction Managers globally, defining construction strategies and procedures, and ensuring successful project completion.

Responsibilities
- Lead external Construction Managers on large-scale CapEx projects worldwide, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure project success.
- Align construction activities with engineering, procurement, and commissioning efforts across major CapEx projects, ensuring seamless operations from early project phases.
- Challenge and support Construction Managers during project execution, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and achievement of milestones.
- Coordinate with various teams to communicate with stakeholders, manage risks, and ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitor and assess construction progress, identify areas for improvement, and promote innovation to optimize cost-efficiency, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, sustainability goals, and industry best practices during project execution.
Requirements
- Master's degree (MEng, MSc) or Diploma in Engineering fields such as mechanical, process, chemical, utility engineering, or similar.
- Extensive experience in Construction Management and CapEx Projects, with a deep understanding of their complexities.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience in both German and international contexts. Knowledge of Risk Management and Quality Assurance is essential.
- Proficiency in conflict and crisis management, project management (including change and time management), with PMP or equivalent certification highly valued.
- Proven track record of successful, safe projects, with knowledge of construction contracts and negotiation skills a plus.
- Exceptional bilingual communication skills in German and English, with the ability to inspire and energize teams across organizational boundaries.
