As a Team Assistant / Paralegal (m/f/d) in our Corporate Legal & Insurance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the lawyers and paralegals by taking on administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth functioning of the legal team.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Organisation and independent design and implementation of all secretarial work as well as team assistance to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day business for the General Counsel and other team members in the legal department, such as planning and coordinating appointments and business trips and the associated preparation and follow-up work.

  • Independent handling of administrative tasks such as mail processing, correspondence in German and English, ordering, invoice processing and posting, follow-up management, etc.

  • Participation in projects and special tasks.

  • Administration of the department's IT tools and support with project work such as the further digitalisation of the legal department.

  • Interface to other departments of the Group companies and contact person for internal and external business partners.

  • Ideally supporting the General Counsel in the implementation of operational tasks, in the organisation of day-to-day business and strategic issues.

  • Support with legal activities including corporate housekeeping and M&A projects as well as administration and support in the implementation of legal projects would be desirable.

Show your expertise

  • Completed commercial training (e.g. paralegal or office communications clerk).

  • High affinity for working in a legal department, ideally already professional experience in a law firm or the legal department of an (international) company.

  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills and very good MS Office skills.

  • Structured, independent and proactive way of working as well as strong organisational skills.

  • Used to working independently and goal-orientated with a high degree of effectiveness and also under (time) pressure.

  • Positive charisma, communication skills and the ability to work in a team.

  • Commitment and willingness to learn new tasks and activities.

  • Confidential handling of sensitive information, sense of responsibility and reliability.
