Senior Data Engineer

Masentó is collaborating with a boutique technology consulting firm that is currently experiencing an exciting growth phase. We are supporting them in their search for a Senior Data Engineer with a strong consulting background and a solid foundation in technology, particularly with the Azure tech stack.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

1. Crafting technical roadmaps, data strategies, and documentation, ensuring adherence to best practices, security, and compliance standards to support clients across various industries.
2. Designing and developing scalable enterprise-level data architectures, including ETL processes, streaming frameworks, and modernizing legacy systems.
3. Supporting pre-sales activities by delivering technical presentations and simplifying complex data concepts for clients.
4. Leading and mentoring engineering teams, providing technical guidance on data engineering best practices, and fostering innovation.
5. Key Skills:
6. 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a proven track record of successful projects.
7. Profound knowledge of ETL/ELT tooling, data modeling, data catalogs, and data governance.
8. Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Java, Scala, and/or Rust.
9. Expertise with Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, dbt, Infrastructure as Code, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
