Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d)

We are a reliable partner in the field of power electronics with our team of about 80 highly qualified employees.

Since 1962, EUROATLAS GmbH has been developing and producing robust, reliable, and highly precise power electronics (voltage converters, frequency converters, power supply devices) for modern military and civil applications.

We provide both the development or further development of electronic designs from concept to series production, as well as series production and the execution of service/support for the entire product life cycle.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

1. Cooperative development of specifications with our customers
2. Mechanical design of components, modules, and electromechanical integration of systems for power electronic devices with increased requirements
3. Interdisciplinary system and solution design and further development of product architectures in the project team
4. Modeling, calculation, and optimization of electromechanical systems using modern development tools
5. Designing specifications for external development partners
6. Systematic design and implementation of the system architecture and integration of sub-functions, considering various product life cycle requirements and cost/benefit aspects
7. Creating test plans and test specifications
8. Building prototypes and conducting necessary module and system tests
9. Creating technical documents
10. Assisting in the execution of qualifications

Our requirements:

1. Successfully completed degree (Master's) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field
2. Several years of professional experience in the development/design and integration of electrical systems with power electronics is desirable
3. Experience in creating product and production documentation (drawings, bills of materials, and product master data)
4. Excellent methodological knowledge in design and development processes for complex technical systems
5. Knowledge of electronics in the field of circuit technology, switchgear cabinet construction, and typical system topologies is an advantage
6. Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
7. Independent, systematic, and goal-oriented working style
8. High level of commitment and self-motivation
