Job Description

As a Senior Accountant General Ledger, you play a key role in the local Accounting Team for Germany. You contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS. This position offers the opportunity to work in an international, fast-paced environment, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our general ledger accounts and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaboration in the local Accounting Germany Team (Autodoc SE and all German subsidiaries).
• Co-responsibility for the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS, including internal group reporting.
• Execution of financial accounting tasks with a strong focus on general ledger accounting.
• Analysis, reconciliation, and clarification of balance sheet and P&L accounts.
• Cross-functional collaboration with internal departments and coordination with international accounting teams.
• Continuous support in process improvements, automation initiatives, and standardization efforts in financial operations.
• Preparation of ad-hoc analyses and independent handling of accounting-related special projects.
  
  
  

• Successfully completed commercial training (e.g., 'Industriekaufmann/-frau') with additional qualification as a 'Bilanzbuchhalter/-in' (IHK), or a degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.
• 5–8 years of professional experience in financial accounting, particularly in general ledger accounting, ideally within an international company.
• Profound knowledge of HGB; solid understanding of IFRS accounting standards.
• Very good SAP FI/CO skills or experience with other ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a structured and proactive work approach.
• Excellent German language skills (minimum C1) in both written and spoken communication.
• Good English skills (minimum B2) to communicate in an international work environment.
• High degree of team spirit, reliability, and intercultural competence.
• Ability to handle ad-hoc tasks and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
