At HZB we research innovative materials and for a sustainable energy supply. As the Department for Information Technology, we are responsible for the central IT at HZB and support our scientists and administration with IT infrastructure, specialised applications, IT services, and IT support. Modernization, adaptation and optimisation are among our constant tasks to ensure a state-of-the-art information technology.

As an IT Service and Project Management Officer in the management of the IT department, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of our IT services and to foster innovation. Your Tasks

  • You will take over responsibility for the design and continuous optimisation of the IT service management processes of all departments in IT.
  • You will design and lead change processes and projects in cooperation with the team leaders in our IT.
  • You will initiate, lead and organise projects for the digitalisation of administrative processes, including in the area of document management systems (DMS).
  • You will develop guidelines, IT operating regulations, and the IT service catalog from a strategic perspective.

Your Profile

  • Relevant university degree, preferably in computer science or business informatics
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience in the field of operational organization of IT centers based on ITIL
  • Experience with the IT service management framework ITIL in theory and practice
  • Experience in recording, documenting, and designing IT and business processes
  • Experience with professional project management (preferably according to PRINCE2)
  • Very good knowledge of German and a good knowledge of English

The employment contract is unlimited. The salary is based on the Collective Agreement for the German Public Service (TVöD-Bund).
