Senior Quality Assurance Engineer mfd - Augsburg or Bucharest

LOCATION : Augsburg, Germany or Bucharest, Romania

THE ROLE :

As part of the Quality Assurance department, you will ensure the defined functionality and high stability of our IGEL products and services that our partners and customers can expect. Manual testing is mandatory to ensure that the products and services meet the requirements.

Our Quality Assurance Engineers (m/f/d) accompany the entire release process up to the release of the products or services. They are responsible for designing test procedures, documenting the tests performed, reporting errors, and maintaining test environments. Close cooperation with the development department is essential.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test plans.
2. Plan, create, and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy.
3. Track the lifecycle of errors.
4. Maintain test documentation.
5. Participate in planning and sync meetings (optional).
6. Conduct internal training sessions.
7. Handle training and supervision of external employees.
8. Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
9. Investigate product quality to make improvements and achieve better customer satisfaction.
10. Perform smoke tests with live systems (optional).
11. Experience working in an Agile development process.
12. Be a high performer in a team and act as a multiplier.
13. Familiarize yourself with new topics and design and implement new solutions as part of a team.
14. Take on project responsibility regularly.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :

• Excellent knowledge of the structure and function of Linux-based systems.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux and/or Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Excellent knowledge of network topology.
• Excellent knowledge of hardware topics and technologies.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies and terminal server products from Microsoft, Citrix, and VMware (required).
• Experience with complex tasks with many factors, some of which are difficult to determine.
• Experience working in complex contexts and independently working out content.
• Training as an IT specialist with relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience.
