Senior Project Engineer Energy Systems (Electrical)

BOSS Energy has been retained by a leading Power Systems OEM seeking to hire a Senior Project Engineer to join their electrical team.

Responsibilities:

• Planning of protection concepts: You will develop effective protection concepts for battery storage systems in the medium and high voltage range.
• You will be responsible for the planning of medium-voltage switchgear and thus contribute to the safety and efficiency of our projects.
• You are jointly responsible for the construction and commissioning of substations and thus ensure that everything runs smoothly.
• Measurement and troubleshooting: You will carry out measurements and troubleshoot low-voltage and control voltage systems.
• Communication with grid operators and technical support for negotiations for grid connection contracts will also be part of your task.
• Construction scheduling: Through close cooperation with our project management, we can plan construction times efficiently.
• You will use your knowledge of Eplan / AutoCAD for control cabinet planning and documentation and contribute it to us.
• Together with us, you will take over the property planning as well as the earthing and conduit planning.
• Cable design for low-voltage and medium-voltage systems is no problem for you.
• Commissioning of battery storage systems: You will carry out the commissioning of battery storage systems, including cabling, troubleshooting and acceptance of the work of service providers on the construction sites.

Background:

• You have a degree in electrical engineering (Dipl. Ing., B. Eng, M. Eng) or comparable training and already have professional experience.
• Ideally, you also have experience in the field of battery storage and/or energy system planning.
• CAD planning with Autodesk, AutoCAD and Eplan are no strangers to you.
• You will contribute your practical experience in the areas of measurement and troubleshooting in low voltage.
• You also like to travel within Germany and/or abroad (willingness to travel, 20%).
• You have a class B driver's license.
• You communicate confidently in German and also have English skills.
• Teamwork and communication are in your blood and you show commitment and a sense of responsibility.
• Willingness to learn and independent work are a matter of course for you.
