Product Counsel - Veeva Data Cloud

Veeva’s Legal Team is seeking a dynamic, business-minded lawyer to support our fast-growing data business, including Veeva Link, Veeva OpenData, and Veeva’s Business Consulting practice. This role primarily focuses on the EU market and involves collaboration with executive, strategy, and product teams to ensure compliance and meet customer expectations. The position is based in Europe, with frequent travel to Frankfurt, Germany.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain global compliance programs for Veeva’s data products.
• Serve as a legal liaison to customers regarding compliance issues.
• Advise EU-based teams on legal and regulatory matters.
• Recommend policy and process improvements.
• Research applicable laws, including privacy laws, and coordinate with local counsel.
• Develop and oversee templates for contracts and agreements.
• Provide legal oversight for new data products.
• Support contracting for Business Consulting in local markets.
• Act as a subject matter expert on data issues and customer negotiations.
• Negotiate with vendors and partners for the data businesses.

Requirements

• Law degree and active license.
• At least 4 years of relevant legal and business experience.
• Experience with data product licensing, contract structuring, and reviewing terms.
• Understanding of global data privacy regimes and copyright laws.
• Experience managing local counsel internationally.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
