Title: Procurement Director, Global Specialty Food Ingredients
Type: Hybrid
Locations: Westchester IL, Bridgwater NJ, White Marsh MD, or Europe
Reports to: VP Global Procurement Direct & Capex

Role Overview

The Procurement Director will lead global sourcing for specialty food ingredients, building a high-performance team, developing infrastructure, and delivering value through innovative strategies. The role requires industry knowledge, strategic acumen, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure cost competitiveness, sustainable supply, and value creation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a sustainable, cost-competitive supply chain for ingredients like hydrocolloids, sugar reduction, dairy, proteins, and carbohydrates.
  • Create and monitor procurement KPIs aligned with company targets.
  • Lead category strategy development, including pricing negotiations and supplier relationship management.
  • Manage a pipeline of value-adding projects focusing on cost savings, process improvements, and innovation.
  • Share industry insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Build relationships with external organizations for knowledge and insight sharing.
  • Hire, develop, and retain talented procurement staff, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years in procurement, supply chain, or related fields with proven results in a global setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related.
  • Deep knowledge of the specialty food ingredients industry and strategic supplier management.
  • Leadership skills, including managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
  • Excellent relationship, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP) and MS Office.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Additional Details

Relocation: Yes, within country
Pay Range: $175,200 - $233,600 annually (final salary based on various factors)

Incentives: Possible eligibility for annual incentive plan or role-specific bonuses.
