Your role

As a Financial Markets Analyst you will:

  1. contribute to the development and testing of critical IT applications for market operations;
  2. help to automate business processes;
  3. collaborate with users, technical teams and external vendors.

Qualifications, experience and skills

  • a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a STEM subject, finance, economics or relevant field;
  • at least one year’s professional experience in treasury management systems or financial market infrastructures, in support or testing roles;
  • good programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience applying these skills in testing or business processes;
  • understanding of financial instruments and markets, especially fixed income and derivatives;
  • advanced (C1) English and intermediate (B1) command of at least one other EU official language.

Desired:

  • experience in market operations;
  • testing qualifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CAST).

You demonstrate collaboration, team orientation, and willingness to learn from diverse perspectives. You analyze complex information effectively, anticipate stakeholder needs, and are motivated to contribute to the ECB’s mission, serving EU citizens and working with colleagues across Europe.

Working modalities

You may occasionally work during non-standard hours and at ECB standby sites. Part-time arrangements can be discussed.
