    Your Mission:

    The Global Trade team within Hitachi Energy is responsible for ensuring trade compliance and optimizing trade-related business operations, including export controls, sanctions, customs compliance, and supply chain management.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Lead and implement the Hitachi Energy Global Trade Program (GTP) in Europe.
    • Manage and support 11 Country Trade Compliance Officers (CTCOs) across Europe.
    • Ensure local business units appoint and support their trade compliance officers.
    • Advise stakeholders on European trade issues.
    • Lead the Global Trade Sanctions Steering Group.
    • Map and improve trade policies and procedures.
    • Train stakeholders on trade matters.
    • Identify duty savings opportunities in Europe.
    • Support the use and improvement of global trade tools like SAP GTS.
    • Oversee KPI reporting, risk assessments, and trade audits.
    • Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.

    Your Background:

    • Graduate or postgraduate degree in trade, law, economics, international relations, or related fields.
    • Swiss or EU legal qualification is preferred.
    • 10+ years’ experience in export controls, sanctions, customs compliance, and supply chain in an in-house role.
    • Knowledge of Swiss and EU trade regulations and sanctions.
    • Fluent in English; German or French is a plus.
    • Currently based in Italy or the EU.
