Responsibilities


As a Treasury Sales Officer, you will deliver integrated treasury solutions to existing and prospective German HQ Large Corporate Clients, including international Cash & Liquidity Management, Transactional FX, Merchant Services, Commercial Card, and Trade Finance.


This role, based in Frankfurt, reports to the Managing Director, Head of Large Corporate Sales for Northern Europe, focusing on German and Austrian clients. The team manages approximately 50 clients with 4 TSO's, 2 Treasury Sales Associates, and 1 Treasury Sales Analyst. You will collaborate closely with Corporate Banking, GPS Product Managers, and Fulfillment & Service teams.


Key responsibilities include managing and pursuing treasury revenue streams, increasing product penetration, and consulting on sales opportunities to deliver the best solutions.


Role activities include:

  • Managing relationships and sales for a portfolio of large corporate clients across Germany
  • Developing existing and new client relationships to generate business opportunities and revenue
  • Engaging in client calling, proposals, and pitches to enhance revenue
  • Consulting with clients to identify needs and match Bank resources to drive growth
  • Leading pricing and negotiation discussions
  • Planning client and portfolio strategies to ensure responsible revenue and profitability
  • Partnering with internal teams to develop customized treasury solutions
  • Acting as liaison with various departments including Investment Banking, Credit, Risk, Compliance, and Operations
  • Understanding client objectives and matching Bank capabilities to develop opportunities
  • Providing feedback for product development and market insights
  • Ensuring alignment with corporate banking strategies and compliance standards
  • Representing the bank at industry and client events
  • Driving digital adoption and managing strategic client dialogues
  • Maintaining in-depth industry and client knowledge
  • Contributing to marketing efforts and external visibility
  • Participating in regional and global planning and strategy
  • Overseeing sales pipeline and revenue analysis
  • Providing briefing for senior management and managing day-to-day client relationships
  • Leading and coaching sales team members

What we are looking for

  • Familiarity with the German financial landscape, GPS products, and European treasury management experience
  • Strong communication skills in English and German
  • Experience in treasury management sales, including cash management, liquidity, FX, and trade finance
  • Account management skills and ability to build rapport with clients
  • Ability to manage priorities and ensure client satisfaction
  • Understanding of regulatory environment and risk management
  • Numerate with good business acumen
  • Accountability and relationship-building skills
  • Effective presentation skills for internal and external audiences
