Solar Sales Engineer – Join the Clean Energy Revolution with Solnet!

As a Solar Sales Engineer, you will support the sales team with conceptual solar designs and technical information that lead to successful sales contracts. You will have the opportunity to develop proposals that meet our customers’ needs with our focus on intelligent solar power solutions.

Our core offering is commonly 2-5 MW rooftop systems for our global brand key account customers, though we also work with ground mounts in the 10’s of megawatts, energy storage systems, and smart energy services.

Location: Frankfurt, Germany (hybrid)

Your tasks will include:

• Review of customer and local authority requirements
• Rooftop and ground mount PV system layout designs
• Preparation of ballast design reports and configuration of racking systems
• Energy generation simulations including import/export modeling
• Cost consideration and value engineering
• Technical support and consultation with our sales team
• Occasional site visits to review project needs

What we are looking for:

• +2 years of experience in the solar energy industry
• Relevant educational background (e.g. Electrical Engineering)
• Comfort with AC and DC electrical design considerations
• Software skills (AutoCAD and solar-specific software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, Virto.CAD)
• Experience with local codes, standards, network operator requirements
• Comfort working with remote supervision
• Contribution to developing our systems and ways of working
• Experience with DC optimizers is a plus
