Lead solution architecture for Finance and Controlling within Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O

Design scalable, compliant, and business-aligned financial systems.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and implement end-to-end finance processes, including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, budgeting, cost accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  2. Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, define future-state processes, and translate them into functional D365 solutions.
  3. Create solution documentation such as blueprints and functional specifications, guiding configuration and customization according to best practices.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, data migration specialists, technical architects, and integration partners to ensure cohesive delivery.
  5. Drive finance transformation and process optimization, ensuring compliance with IFRS, HGB, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Stay updated on trends and technologies, leveraging Microsoft’s roadmap, Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate), and emerging innovations like AI and automation.

Profile

  1. University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Extensive ERP experience, including 5+ years with Dynamics AX / D365 F&O Finance modules, with strong knowledge of finance processes and the Dynamics F&O data model.
  3. Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Lifecycle Services (LCS), with experience in integrating D365 F&O with external systems (e.g., banking, tax, reporting platforms).
  4. Strong expertise in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and managing multi-country finance operations, including familiarity with localization in the US and Europe.
  5. Ability to work effectively with external partners and vendors throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  6. Experience working in intercultural environments, especially with teams or partners in Asia (considered a plus).
  7. Fluency in English and German, with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
